Personal data collected through the website and submission system of Business & Management Studies: An International Journal is processed under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The data controller is ACC Publishing (Kahramanmaras, Turkey), acting on behalf of the journal.
Data is processed only to run the editorial process, carry out peer review, publish and index articles, communicate with authors and reviewers, and meet legal obligations. Processing relies on the grounds in Article 5 of KVKK: the conclusion and performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation and the legitimate interests of the journal; where none of these applies, your explicit consent is obtained. This notice fulfils the information duty under Article 10 of KVKK.
The journal runs on the ADYS academic journal management platform; data is processed and stored on that platform on behalf of the journal. When the journal's AI-assisted features are used, fields such as the article title, abstract and keywords may be sent to the platform's AI provider, which may be located abroad; such transfers are made in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK. Keyword suggestion and translation in the submission wizard run only when the author presses the button for it, and the typed word is sent to OpenAlex and MyMemory; for ORCID verification only the ORCID iD is looked up in ORCID's public registry; when a DOI is registered, the published article's metadata is sent to Crossref. Beyond this, data is not transferred to third parties unless required by law.
Account data is kept for as long as the account remains open. Author information attached to published articles is preserved permanently to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. Review records are kept for the period required by applicable legislation.
Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Turkey or abroad, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction, and to object to processing.
